Amyloid-β (25-35) (Aβ (25-35)) is an 11-residue fragment of the Aβ protein that retains the physical and biological characteristics of the full length peptide. It forms fibrils that react to thioflavin T and Congo red and are organized in a cross-β arrangement of β-strands similar to Aβ (1-40) and Aβ (1-42) fibrils. Aggregated Aβ (25-35) decreases the viability of rat adrenal PC12 cells. It also decreases the viability of primary rat cortical neurons at concentrations ranging from 1 nM to 30 μM. In vivo, intracerebral injection of Aβ (25-35) (20 nmol) in rats induces lesions of neuronal and tissue loss. Aggregated Aβ (25-35) administered intracerebroventricularly to rats induces learning and memory impairments in the Y-maze, novel object recognition, and contextual fear conditioning tests.
c-Myc Peptide is a useful displacement of c-Myc-tagged fusion proteins bound to anti-c-Myc antibodies in immunoassays. The successful inhibition of antibody binding by c-Myc peptide demonstrates binding is specific. c-Myc peptide participates in the regul
Hexa His is an amino acid sequence consisting of 6 His residues in a row, it is also known as Hexa histidine-tag, 6 x His-tag, and by the trademarked name His-tag.
The recognized V5 epitope represents 95GKPIPNPLLGLDST108 of RNA polymerase α subunit of simian parain uenza virus type 5. This short peptide sequence was chosen because high-af nity antibodies can be reliably produced in many different species1.
PACAP-related peptide (PRP) is an endogenous 29-amino acid peptide that belongs to the secretin/glucagon superfamily of peptides, which includes secretin , glucagon , glucagon-like peptide-1 , GLP-2 , and pituitary adenylate cyclase-activating polypeptide . It is expressed in normal human pancreas and adrenal gland tissue and in some tumors that produce vasoactive intestinal peptide (VIP). PRP (1-29) is secreted by CHO-K1 cells that express human recombinant preproPACAP.
Peptide YY (PYY) is a 36-amino acid peptide and anorectic gut hormone agonist for the neuropeptide Y receptors Y1, Y2, Y5, and Y6 with EC50 values of 0.7, 0.58, 1, and 0.8 nM, respectively, for supression of forskolin-induced cAMP accumulation. PYY is cleaved in vivo to PYY (3-36) . Release of PYY occurs postprandially in proportion to calorie intake from intestinal enteroendocrine L cells, indicating it may be a satiety signal. In humans, PYY inhibits food intake and gastrointestinal transit in both lean and obese subjects.
X-press Tag is an N-terminal leader peptide; this N-terminal peptide contains a polyhistidine sequence, the Xpress epitope (part of bacteriophage T7 gene 10 protein) and an enterokinase cleavage site. Anti-Xpress antibodies recognize the Xpress epitope se
Rhodopsin EpitopeTag, a 9-amino acid peptide representing the C terminus of bovine rhodopsin, is widely used as an epitopetag recognized by various anti-rhodopsin antibodies.
NGR peptideTrifluoroacetate containing the asparagine-glycine-arginine (NGR) motif is recognized by CD13/aminopeptidase N (APN) receptor isoforms that are selectively overexpressed in tumor neovasculature.
