Perfluorohexane (AF-0150), a perfluorocarbon (PFC)-based microbubble formulation, is an ultrasound contrast agent with developmental toxicity that induces memory deficits and neuroprotein downregulation through the NMDA receptor-mediated PKC-ERK/AMPK signaling pathway.Perfluorohexane interferes with estrous cycle, ovulation rate in mice, Perfluorohexane interferes with estrous cycle, ovulation rate, oocyte communication and calcium homeostasis in mice.
