Nagilactone C and phyllanthoside are novel protein synthesis inhibitors, they are specific for the eukaryotic translation apparatus, function in vivo and in vitro, and interfere with translation elongation. Nagilactone C shows high insecticidal activity against second-instar nymphs of Eocanthecona furcellata.
