May have a role in angiogenesis and promote cholesterol crystallization. It is able to degrade Leu-enkephalin and Met-enkephalin but not cholecystokinin CCK8, neuromedin C (GRP-10), somatostatin-14, substance P and vasoactive intestinal peptide.
