HKOCl-4 (BXY2142) is a rhodol-based yellow fluorescent probe that demonstrates exceptional sensitivity and selectivity in detecting hypochlorous acid. Its absorption wavelength is significantly longer than that of fluorescein-based probes, and it exhibits better pH stability. Notably, HKOCl-4 exhibits excitation at 530 nm and emission at 557 nm.
体外活性
HKOCl-4 (10 μM) shows an increasing florescence intensity with increasing concentration of hypochlorous acid[1].

HKOCl-4 exhibits a ultra-fast response towards 1 equiv of HOCl (reached a plateau within 2 min) , and it shows a >20-fold increase in fluorescence intensity over other analytes (1 equiv of ?OH and ONOO? as well as 10 equiv of O2, NO, 1O2, ROO?, TBHP and H2O2)[2].

HKOCl-4 is first tested and it was proven to be non-toxic in living cells even at a concentration up to 50 μM in RAW264.7 macrophages[2].
