疼痛是一种与实际或潜在的组织损伤相关的不愉快的感觉和情绪情感体验,或与此相似的经历 ;作为六大生命体征之一,疼痛与呼吸、脉搏、血压、体温等同样重要,反映了身体的健康状态。疼痛按持续时间分为急性疼痛、慢性疼痛;按照病因分为伤害性疼痛和神经病理性疼痛;按感受系统分类表层疼痛、深层疼痛;还可根据来源分为内脏痛和体表痛。

疼痛的产生机制是一个复杂的过程,涉及多个层面,包括生理、心理和神经生物学方面,疼痛主要的机制包括:痛觉感受器的激活,痛觉感受器是分布在皮肤、内脏、骨骼肌和关节等部位的专门感知有害刺激的感觉神经末梢。致痛物质的释放:当组织损伤时,会释放多种致痛物质,如组胺、缓激肽、5-羟色胺、乙酰胆碱、前列腺素等,这些物质能激活痛觉感受器。此外还包括神经信号传导、中枢调控、心理因素等等
