It effectively inhibits gastric acid secretion and ulcer formation in rats, with ED50 values of 1 mg/kg and 0.021 mg/kg, respectively. This compound is also 900 times more potent than Prostaglandin F2α (PGF2α) in inducing contraction of human respiratory tract smooth muscle in vitro.
